There will be a highway for the remnant of His people who remain from Assyria, as there was for Israel when they came up from the land of Egypt.

16. And there shall be a path. An highway. — Eng. Ver. This verse contains nothing new, but explains the former verse. The people would perceive the same power of God in the deliverance from Babylon as they had perceived in the deliverance from Egypt.
