Later, by the Sea of Tiberias, Jesus again revealed Himself to the disciples. He made Himself known in this way:

1. After these things Jesus manifested himself again. The Evangelist still labors to prove the resurrection of Christ, and relates, that he appeared to seven disciples, among whom he mentions Thomas, not out of respect to him, so much as because his testimony ought to be the more readily believed in proportion to the obstinacy of his unbelief.

Verse 1. The sea of Tiberias. Called also the Sea of Galilee, being situated in Galilee. . In this place Jesus had promised to meet them, . This interview of Jesus is but just mentioned by Matthew (), and is omitted by both Mark and Luke. This is the reason why John relates so particularly what occurred there.
