The priest, who is one of Aaron’s sons and will be anointed to take his place, is to prepare it. As a permanent portion for the LORD, it must be burned completely.

The meat-offering was either that which was offered by the people or that by the priests at their consecration. Now, I. As to the common meat-offering, 1. Only a handful of it was to be burnt upon the altar; all the rest was allowed to the priests for their food.
