We have here the same account of Christ's riding in some sort of triumph (such as it was) into Jerusalem which we had before in Matthew and Mark; let us therefore here only observe, I. Jesus Christ was forward and willing to suffer and die for us.

And they that were sent went their way,.... The two disciples that were sent by Christ, were obedient to him, and went, as he directed them, and did as he ordered them; and found, even as he had said unto them.

the Lord hath need, &c.--He both knew all and had the key of the human heart. (See on Luk 19:5.) Perhaps the owner was a disciple.
