These were the heads of their fathers’ houses: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty warriors, famous men, heads of their fathers’ houses.
The heads of the half-tribe of Manasseh, that were seated on the other side Jordan, are named here, Ch1 5:23, Ch1 5:24. Their lot, at first, was Bashan only; but afterwards they increased so much in wealth and power that they spread far north, even unto Hermon. Two things only are here recorded concerning these tribes on the other side Jordan, in which they were all concerned.

THE LINE OF GAD. (1Ch. 5:11-26) the children of Gad dwelt over against them--The genealogy of the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh (Ch1 5:24) is given along with that of the Reubenites, as these three were associated in a separate colony.
