You have declared today that the LORD is your God, and that you will walk in his ways, and keep his statutes and his commandments and his rules, and will obey his voice.
17. Thou hast avouched the Lord Thou hast exalted, etc — Lat. He shews them from the consequence that nothing can be better or more desirable for them than to embrace God’s Law; for nothing can be more honorable to ourselves than to give to God His due honor, and to exalt His glory to its due preeminence.
Two things Moses here urges to enforce all these precepts: - 1. That they were the commands of God, Deu 26:16.
