And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons.
In these verses, we have, I. A particular account of one miracle that Christ wrought, in the cure of Peter's wife's mother, who was ill of a fever. This passage we had before, in Matthew. Observe, 1. When Christ had done that which spread his fame throughout all parts, he did not then sit still, as some think that they may lie in bed when their name is up.

And he preached in their synagogues,.... Which were in the next towns, in the village cities, and throughout all Galilee: taking every town and city in his circuit, he continued preaching the Gospel of the kingdom in one place and another, until he had gone over the whole country: and cast out devils; as out of the souls, so out of the bodies of men...
